This Register has become very active in collecting and updating the information, with the eventual aim to be able to publish a reasonably informed full Register.

The second aim is, as part of the Jaguar Drivers’ Club, to provide a range of services to owners of such cars. These include social events (monthly meetings, an annual day, special visits, weekend breaks and full Tours) which offer an opportunity to exchange knowledge about the cars at the same time as enhancing the enjoyment of their use and ownership in the social context, and a broad range of technical advice and assistance.

The Register is run by a committee whose interests cover a wide spectrum which it is hoped will match the likely needs of most owners.

Our aim is to identify at least one Register Member (who need not necessarily be on the Committee) whom Members can approach for technical advice on each of the model types. We are able to offer this for the following models:

SS ‘90’ Brian Knight

SS Jaguar ‘100’ Alan Gibbins

SS Jaguar Saloons and dhc 1938/40 Denis Foxley, Nic Drukker, Alan Gibbins and Allan Crouch

Jaguar 1945/9 Denis Foxley, Nic Drukker, Alan Gibbins and Allan Crouch

Jaguar Mk V 1949/51 Nigel Tucker, Richard Rogers*

All Models generally Alan Gibbins

This means that we lack anyone with specific responsibility for SS Is and SS IIs. We would welcome contact from anyone who might be prepared to take these on.

*Richard Rogers’ Tel: 020 8366 5625

The Register is delighted to announce that the Club's SS Forum is now up and running. It has been especially created in conjunction with the Register to cater for the interests of owners and admirers of all SSs and Jaguars with side valve and pushrod engines, namely SS Is and IIs, SS 90s, SS Jaguars (including the '100'), Mark IVs and Mark Vs 1932-52. We hope that this service will further enhance your enjoyment and use of these cars. The Forum is a way in which you can be in touch with other Members/Owners. Post details of your experiences on the road or in the workshop, or just ask if anyone can help you with a technical query and there is a strong chance you will hear from others who have a had similar problems and will give you some help.
